To personally handle desktop property claims, obtaining high quality evidence by investigation, in a timely manner (supported where required by photographs, estimates, statements, and other appropriate evidence) so as to be able to properly conclude on policy liability and quantum issues as appropriate in compliance with prevailing client requirements.
To demonstrate a high level of technical quality and service delivery.
Correct use of preferred/approved suppliers, experts and consultants where appropriate.
The proper escalation of claims or issues either outside license or as required by company procedures.
Regularly assess and accurately maintain reserves throughout the life of the claim.
Maintaining detailed and accurate records of all communications, site visits, meetings, discussions, decisions and key milestones.
Action all correspondence in accordance with agreed service levels.
Communicate effectively and proactively with all relevant parties by the most effective and expeditious means, prioritising the use of telephone contact, ensuring that claims are proactively managed.
To maintain a high degree of knowledge and competence in respect of technical issues pertinent to property claims.
