Due to expansion and concentrated efforts to remain the number one provider in the Market, an opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Development Trading Underwriter for the dynamic office in Belfast. You will be part of a team responsible for negotiating successful outcomes on allocated cases. You will have key broking relationships with Brokers in Northern Ireland and have a proven track record in business development. You will also have superior technical knowledge for Commercial Cross class risks.

Your key responsibilities will include
Underwriting cases within agreed processes and risk appetite to achieve business development and retention targets
• Reviewing allocated cases and delivering underwriting decisions
• Providing advice and solutions to colleagues to address technical referrals for non-conventional and complex risks
• Supporting colleagues in the handling of non-standard, large or complex cases
• Balancing risks and business opportunities to achieve the best outcomes for the business and its customers.
• Maximising personal performance through the application of a range of underwriting, sales and customer management approaches and techniques
• Identifying, analysing and interpreting data, statistics and information to inform good decision-making
• Identifying and converting sales opportunities
• Operating in the defined control environment
