My client is a well respected and leading Insurance company specialising in providing a valuable and key service to Key Insurers and National Brokers within the Commercial and Personal Lines sector. Due to success and rapid expansion, a vacancy has arisen for an experienced, ambitious and pro-active Business Development Manager to be a key figure and focal point for clients within the London City market. Reporting to the Director of Business Development, this is a high profile and demanding role. The successful candidate will be expected to make a significant contribution to the success and development of my clients services across all business streams.

The main purpose of the role is to enhance and develop the business by becoming an influential Networker with Brokerages and London Market Insurers within the Insurance Industry in the City of London. In winning and developing new business, to champion the needs of the client by understanding their strategy and interpreting their requirements. Key objectives will be to win and grow nominated business and seek further opportunities with key decision makers, be responsible for renewals, official tender bids and work in conjunction with all departments within my clients business.

Candidate Requirements:
Key Networker - already have strong business links in Brokerages and other related businesses within the City
Skilled in dealing with people at all levels up to CEO / Board level
Ability to interpret clients wants and desires
Ability to interpret clients needs to key operational personnel within the LAS business stream to further develop implementation strategy
Self Belief
Strong strategic and analytical skills with a proven track record as a business manager
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, to work closely with customers and colleagues
Strong business acumen
Experienced negotiator
Project and budget management experience
Need a proven track record in client liaison and client maintenance at senior level including relationship development.
