Salary: £35000 to £45000 £35000 - £45000 per annum

My client is a leading International Insurance company with regional offices situated throughout the UK. Due to aggressive expansion plans and an increased appetite for cross class business, the Leeds office now has a vacancy for an experienced, ambitious and talented Trade Credit Underwriter to join its successful regional office.

The successful candidate will be tasked with dealing with new business development and underwriting existing business. You will be fully aware of the local markets and have key broker relationships already in place. The role will be autonomous and you will be involved with the full cycle of business from inception to renewal of all cases.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will also be responsible for the growth of the Trade Credit account and will work in partnership with other branches to further develop new business opportunities.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in a development underwriting role within Trade Credit Insurance and have a proven track record of underwriting profitable new and existing business. Excellent communication and negotiation skills are a must along with a commitment to provide a first class service to clients and brokers.
