Salary: £17000 to £21000 £17000 - £21000 per annum + Excellent Benefits

Our Client is a Claims Management Company specialising in road traffic accidents which provides a range of benefits and services to insurers, insurance brokers, corporate fleets and private individuals alike.

Due to expansion they are seeking to recruit a recoveries / disputed liability claims technician in Birchwood, Warrington.

The Role:

Ensure that the recovery of monies on disputed liability claims is obtained in the shortest possible time
Ensure timely reviews of disputed claims are completed in accordance with the dept diary timescales.
Ensure that all enquiries into liability are fully completed as early as possible with evidence and documentation exchanged with third party insurers.
Routinely prioritise and action outstanding cases being proactive at all times and not letting claims 'drift’
Ensuring that action on a file is quality driven to ensure adherence with company standards and maintaining scores in line with audit targets.
Applying knowledge of case law, Highway Code and other reference materials and sources of information in support of your case.
Ensure timely referral of files to litigation when appropriate.
Regularly update both clients and brokers alike in accordance with the Financial Services Authority.
To manage client’s expectations at the outset of the claim in requesting specific information from them and highlighting potential outcomes of settlement.
Handle, record and resolve any low level complaints that do not require escalation
Attend regular team meetings, contributing where appropriate

The Person:

Knowledge of credit hire processes and associated legislative guidelines
Knowledge of indemnity, liability and quantum issues and counter arguments
Knowledge of support tools to ensure success, e.g. police report, case law, locus report, client’s own insurers, solicitors etc
An assertive, structured and resilient approach to verbal negotiations
Excellent communication skills both aural and written
Participate willingly in the work of the team, providing additional help when resources are stretched and sharing information to aid consistency
Ability to manage a caseload of claims and comply with company targets
Understand and routinely deliver a high level of customer service
