They are seeking an individual for their Manchester New Business team. The responsibilities will involve underwriting new business across cross class business, negotiating with brokers and developing relationships. You will be based internally with external exposure to meeting brokers on official meetings and corporate events. You will also work alongside a team of New Business Underwriters and will look to forge strong team relationships.

The work will be varied and interesting and will range from medium sized premiums to large international exposures. (full ongoing technical product training will be available).

The successful applicant must have the following skills and attributes:

-Experience of dealing with Key Provincial Brokers and National Brokers
-A minimum of 5 years commercial combined insurance experience in Property and Liability
-Strong communication and negotiation skills
-Writing New Business and trading with brokers, either via phone or direct contact and regular broker visits
-A professional and personable nature
-A strong desire to develop your skills and career
-An ambition to work for the best
