They now have a vacancy for a Development Underwriter in their HNW underwriting team.

The role will be working within the Glasgow regional office and the successful candidate will be responsible for finding, developing and gowing new business opportunities within the region. You will also identify opportunities to cross-sell and build the whole business.

This is a key role and you will be tasked with writing a minimum amount of GWP of business per year, develop close and effective relationships with brokers and play a pivotal role in achieving more success in Manchester.

To be considered for the role, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate and have the necessary qualifications and attributes:
-Preferably degree qualified with a minimum of 2 A Levels at Grade C or above, although exceptions will be considered for an experienced underwriter
-ACII qualification or progress towards
-Demonstrable drive, self motivation and determination to achieve results
-Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills combined with a proven track record of relationship management and customer focus
-Strong influencing, negotiation and leadership skills

In addition you must have a background in either HNW or MNW / Household development underwriting or a Commercial Property Underwriting background with a proven track record in Business Development will also be considered and full training will be offered.
