Our client is the leading equity release specialist in the UK and has been at the forefront of the growth of the industry since being established. Whilst many of their competitors have struggled given the difficult market conditions this company continues to prosper and now requires an additional six equity release advisers to be based from the head office in Preston.

The firm markets extensively and is one of the biggest advertisers in the industry. They have a number of tie-ins with media outlets, including national newspapers and magazines, whilst also being the equity release specialist of choice for many IFA practices. They have also secured a lucrative relationship with one of the UK’s largest financial services organisations to provide specialist equity release advice to their clients.

This means that the successful applicants will be extremely busy and have all the resources necessary to earn excellent levels of bonus. The company itself expect their advisers to earn c£30,000 although top performers do earn more.

In relation to background applicants will have financial services experience in a customer facing capacity, such as working for a bank/building society or brokerage (IFA or mortgage). Individuals must also be used to working to target in a compliant fashion and hold a relevant mortgage exam (e.g. MAQ or CeMAP). Any candidate without such experience or qualifications will not be considered.

Given the clientele and the issues discussed, applicants must have first-class communication skills and the ability to quickly form working relationships with the customer base. If offered candidates will also be expected to attain the Certificate in Equity Release so must be dedicated enough to want to progress with professional qualifications.

This is a salaried position with the company also providing on the job training and support through further qualifications. The firm offers a range of solutions including a whole of market approach.
