My client is a new face in the Yorkshire market and has already built an extremely good reputation in the UK Insurance market place.

They provide a first class underwriting service to a select number of key provincial brokers, they employ leading underwriters and development executives and boast superb profit and growth in difficult market conditions.

Due to expansion and the ambition to dominate all regional markets, they have recently opened an office in Leeds. To compliment the team they are recruiting for a senior commercial underwriter.

The ideal candidate will have excellent local knowledge of the Leeds and Yorkshire market, have strong technical skills across Property and Liability, SME and some knowledge of Motor fleet and trade although Motor classes are not essential. Ideally a minimum of 10 years working in a similar position is desirable for my client.

You will have the confidence and personality to visit brokers and trade with them to ensure a positive outcome, as well as being organised and disciplined to work internally on renewals and new business.

This role will suit an individual who is ambitious and wants to further their career and make a name for themselves in the Yorkshire market.
