Exchange Street - In The News
Exchange Street Financial Services Director Robert Perry is quoted in September's Money Marketing supplement Adviser Business offering some advice to brokers on recruitment of paraplanners.
\"When assisting consultants to secure new employment opportunities, we regularly find that a key reason for leaving their current role is a lack of technical support.
In many cases, these fee earners can spend two to three days a week in the office away from their core focus on business generation and meeting clients. This has obvious implications for the business in terms of both revenue and employee retention.
With this in mind, forward-thinking practices are increasingly looking to add value to their business model by recruiting highly skilled paraplanners who can take full responsibility for a case when presented with a factfind. The most important consideration is what a company wants a paraplanner for. While this sounds like an obvious question, truly understanding the requirement helps attract and then retain the right individual.
For example, some paraplanners are very technical while some are happy to engage in non-paraplanning duties to assist the office. If you know the function you need them to carry out now, it will help you identify more clearly those individuals who can add most value both now and in the future.\"
