The Senior Claims Negotiator assists the Team Leader in the day-to-day management and development of the team. The Executive is responsible for coaching Advisors, Specialists and Senior Specialists who deal with all aspects of third party claims handling including personal injury to prevent litigation in all cases. In addition, the jobholder will pursue recovery of the insured and uninsured losses for the customer.

Working alongside the team and closely with third parties, external organisations and agencies, eg insurance companies, solicitors, uninsured loss companies and credit hire organisations and by applying the appropriate case law, the Executive will apply experience and integrity checks to control third party costs whilst achieving settlement deadlines and targeted productivity.

This role involves a high degree of influencing and negotiating with particular emphasis on conflict resolution. The Executive plays a key role in achieving a balance between the provision of a quality service combined with the commercial focus required to ensure that the Company meets all targets.

The senior claims handler will also assist the Team Leader on ad-hoc projects and may be asked to deputise for the Team Leader on occasions.
