Homebased Insurance / Claims Consultant

Our Client is a Gibratar based insurer writing writing general insurance business in several EU territories. The company is dynamic, entrepreneurial and has ambitious growth plans. Most of the insurance products are motor but the company also writes household, gap and warranty business.

The Role

The consultant will work with and support the Group Claims Director in the management and supervision of the company’s outsourced motor insurance claims operations in Greece. The role is based in the UK but frequent travel to the claim handling centres in Athens will be required, as well as attendance at the company’s head office in Gibraltar. When not involved in external meetings and site visits you will work from home.

Tasks:

Audits of claims handling performance with a focus on personal injury claims
Monitoring of claims reserves
Training delivery
Production of management information
Analysis of MI and production of monthly reports for the board
Review meetings with partners
Monitoring of performance via remote access to claims handling systems.
Referral point for claims handling partners
Preparation of material for reinsurers

The Person

Essential

Self motivated - the role will involve working from home
Strong inter personal skills
Fluent Greek speaker
Analytical, solution-based approach and able to think out of the box
High degree of flexibility, prepared to travel and work abroad
An understanding of insurance claims processes
Experienced claims handler including personal injury claims

Desirable

ACII or equivalent
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Report writing skills
Technical audit experience
Understanding of Greek litigation
