Salary: £24000 to £28000 £24000 - £28000 per annum + benefits

My client is a forward thinking and successful commercial brokerage that is growing and to date has 5 locations around the UK, dealing with all commercial and personal lines of business to a wide portfolio of clients.

They now have a vacancy in their Preston office for an experienced SME Account Handler.

The requirements of the role are:

- Advising customers on policy cover and implementing cover
- Providing new business and renewal quotations and developing a trusting relationship with new and existing clients / customers.
- Assisting the SME team in achieving new business and rentention targets
- Managing and maintaining relationships with all colleagues and providing relevant support to senior managers
- Working alongside Account Executives
- Full use is IT systems and softwars such as Word and Excel

The successful candidate must have the following attributes:

- A professional and personable outlook with a genuine desire to build a career in insurance broking
- A minimum of 2 to 3 years commercial insurance broking experience in SME / Commercial with handling experience of new and existing business
- A proven track record of being able to deal with insurers in negotiating terms and ensuring the most positive outcome for your clients
- You must have strong knowledge in Commercial Combined / Motor Trade / Package and have excellent communication and customer service skills
- You must also demonstrate a high standard of English and Maths
