Style in the City 2012 II

Exchange Street recently sponsored the Style in the City event hosted at The Hilton Hotel in Manchester. The show was in support of the phenomenal work undertaken by The Christie Hospital with the aim of raising £20,000 to support the new Young Oncology Unit.

In attendance for us was MD Steve McNamee (who made a quick exit prior to the fashion event kicking off; this was after all a glamorous event), consultant Leanne Fairhurst, administrator Siobhan Scott and a number of guests from within the insurance and financial services industries.

The day began with a champagne reception where Steve, Leanne and Siobhan mingled with football legends Denis Law and Dennis Tueart (who Steve has never forgiven for scoring against his team, Newcastle United, in the 1976 League Cup Final), and a number of soap stars, before the main event itself kicked off.

Following the fashion show an auction featuring an array of glittering prizes was launched, with the generous guests contributing thousands of pounds to the total. Whilst final figures have yet to be announced it is clear that the original target was easily achieved.

Exchange Street would like to thank their guests for attending and look forward to sponsoring such events again in the future.
